Momentan findet in der Klimapolitik eine Verzögerungstaktik unter dem Vorwand „sozialer“ Gestaltung der Klimapolitik statt. Noch unsozialer wäre es jedoch, eine noch uneffektivere Klimapolitik zu machen. Der Grund dafür liegt in einem Zusammenhang von Ungleichheit und Klimawandel, den der englische Wissenschaftler Ian Gough im Journal of Social Policy unter dem Begriff „Dreifache (Un-)gerechtigkeit“ erläutert.

Gemäß der „vorsorgeorientierten Postwachstumsposition“ ist es ungewiss, wie sich die Wirtschaftsleistung entwickeln wird, wenn die Wirtschaftsweise in den wohlhabenden Ländern im Einklang mit globalen ökologischen Zielen grundlegend verändert wird. Andererseits spielen aufgrund der heutigen Verfasstheit der früh industrialisierten, wohlhabenden Länder die Wirtschaftsleistung und die damit generierten Einkommen eine wichtige Rolle. Daraus lässt sich das Ziel ableiten, diese gesellschaftlichen Institutionen nach Möglichkeit vorsorglich so zu transformieren, dass sie ihre Funktionen unabhängig(er) von der Wirtschaftsleistung erbringen können. Dies würde der Politik auch größere Spielräume bei Konflikten zwischen ökonomischen und ökologischen Zielen ermöglichen.

Here we look at the effect of the 2008 Climate Change Act passed in Parliament in the United Kingdom as an effort to curb emissions in all sectors. The Act aside from setting goals to become a low-carbon economy sets up an independent committee on Climate Change to ensure the implementation of policies to comply with the ultimate goal of 80% reduction in total emissions in 2050. Along with addressing core conceptual issues in defining heterodox economics, we will cover in some detail five heterodox traditions in economics: Marxian Economics, Institutional Economics, Post-Keynesian Economics, Feminist Economics, and Ecologi-cal Economics. In the first class meeting, we discuss the structure and goals of the course, as well as the expectations and requirements from the students. In addition, we will discuss the concept of heterodoxy in economics, along with discussing the concepts and key issues in mainstream and neoclassical economics.

Der Text klärt zunächst den Begriff der Metaphysik, der sich auch bei Adam Smith finden lässt. Es zeigt sich, dass die Metaphysik ein formales Schema ist, in dem wissenschaftliche Aussagen formuliert werden, ohne dieses Schema selbst zu reflektieren. Die Wirtschaftswissenschaften erscheinen in Forschung und Anwendung als formal exakte Theorie, die der physikalischen Mechanik bis in die mathematischen Details gleicht. Die Mechanik fungiert hier als verborgene Metaphysik.
Verborgene metaphysische Voraussetzungen in der zeitgenössischen Wirtschaftslehre
Trotz aller Härte des ökonomischen, politischen und gesellschaftlichen Wettbewerbs realisieren viele Unternehmer auch heute noch selbstverständlich eine sozial und ökologisch orientierte Unternehmens- und Mitarbeiterführung auf einer soliden wirtschaftlichen Basis. Sie gestalten Unternehmenskulturen, die etwa auf Kooperation, Fairness und Verantwortung beruhen – sei dies in Familienunternehmen, kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen oder in Großunternehmen. In diesem Beitrag zeige ich, wie Bildung zu einer wesentlichen Quelle für eine solche Gestaltung werden kann. Damit beziehe ich mich insbesondere auf die höhere Bildung, also das Studium an Hochschulen und Universitäten und wende mich exemplarisch den Anliegen und Aktivitäten der Cusanus Hochschule zu.
