Ökologische Krise und grüne Ökonomie – eine Einführung
Der Klimawandel – beziehungsweise die Emission von Treibhausgasen – hat gegenläufige Effekte auf die gesellschaftliche Wohlfahrt. Einerseits emittieren wir Treibhausgase, um Wohlfahrt stiftende Aktivitäten auszuüben (Mobilität, Ernährung, Wärmeerzeugung etc.). Andererseits verändert die zunehmende THG- Konzentration klimatische Systeme, wodurch die Wohlfahrt der in der Zukunft lebenden Menschen beeinträchtigt wird. Klimaökonom*innen gehen der Herausforderung nach, die beiden Effekte zu quantifizieren und zu bestimmen, wie viele Treibhausgase zu welchem Zeitpunkt in der Zukunft emittiert werden sollten, damit die gesellschaftliche Wohlfahrt über mehrere Generationen hinweg maximiert wird.
Was eine moderne Klimaökonomik berücksichtigen sollte
In den vergangen Jahren gab es in der Öffentlichkeit aber auch innerhalb der wissenschaftlichen Gemeinde zunehmend Kritik an der Einseitigkeit der derzeitig gelehrten Volkswirtschaftslehre. Vor diesem Hintergrund initiierte das Netzwerk Plurale Ökonomik ein Kooperationsprojekt mit der Universität Kassel, um diese Kritik empirisch zu überprüfen. Das Projekt wurde von der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung gefördert. Die Ergebnisse dieses zweijährigen Forschungsprojektes liegen nun vor.

Geldökonomien vermitteln nicht einfach Wirtschaftssubjekte; sie führen zu einer charakteristischen Trennung zwischen Arbeitenden und Konsumenten. Während die klassische Ökonomie die Arbeit in den Mittelpunkt rückte, sollen nach neoklassischer Lehre die Konsumenten durch ihre Präferenzen die gesamte Ökonomie über die Preise steuern. Diese Denkfigur wird nachfolgend in ihrer ideologischen Funktion dechiffriert. Die Reduktion der meisten Menschen auf die Rolle passiver Konsumenten, die andererseits beim Gelderwerb dem Diktat des Eigentums als Arbeitskraft subsumiert sind, prägt sowohl die Struktur der modernen kapitalistischen Gesellschaften wie die Psyche der Menschen. Die Dualität von Tätig-Sein und Güter-Haben entpuppt sich als spezifische Herrschaftsform.
