The Trialogue Of Taking Socialistic Hints From The Inca For A Better Modern Society is a collaborative podcast of Zaire Arradaza ( PUP, Philippines, zaireaystine(at)gmail.com), Christian Brückner ( EHD, Germany, cb(at)cbseminare.de) and Giovanni Villavicencio (CIDE, Mexico, giovanni.villavicencio(at)alumnos.cide.edu). It was designed as workshop-output for the 2020 Summeracademy for Pluralist Economics. The authors use the social ideas of the former Incan empire to discuss political recommendations for their home countries. The incan society was a special one in history, by some called socialistic, which triggers the curiosity of people, searching for alternative ways of living. The podcast shares some insights into how the Incas lived and what modern society could learn from them.

Comment from our editors:

Citation from Stähli, Albert - Inka-Government (2013): "It is always attractive to study the past in order to learn from it for today and tomorrow. [...] Of course, the project is downright provocative if you focus on a people that serves popular science above all as a deterrent example of a corporative state run with rigor, even extreme harshness. The fact that the Incas of all people could have developed thoughts and principles that could be of use to society in the 21st century may be surprising to the reader."
