In this talk, Eric Beinhocker outlines his ideas of how to ensure a just and sustainable future for Humanity: This includes his interesting Russian Doll approach to unpacking 20th-century economics and proposals of new theories to underpin a new economic system.

Eric Beinhocker takes us on an easy to follow discovery journey unmantling the foundations (e.g. moral philosophy and economic theory) of the present economic system (i.e. modern capitalism). By doing so, we realize the relativity and subjectivity of the established set of beliefs (e.g. Neoliberalism). Beinhocker gifts us an open mind to question the status quo.

Comment from our editors:

This is an excellent material for a platform like Exploring Economics, which aims to broaden horizons in regard to the status quo. The talk includes deft summaries of the current economic order and the need for New Economic Thinking and has the potential to inspire and motivate people. It is good e-learning material for both beginners and professionals as it can help to connect and categorize economic terminologies like Neoliberalism and modern capitalism.
